In addition to his impressive feats on a wheelchair, Wheelz relishes the opportunity to travel globally and speak about his experiences. In 2022, Wheelz appeared on NBC's "America's Got Talent: Extreme" where he placed as the runner-up. Wheelz has a plethora of online videos showcasing his numerous tricks (he recently executed the first Wheelchair Flair/backflip 180). He has since performed live on tour with Nitro Circus and stole the show during the Paralympic Games opening ceremonies in 2016. Wheelz landed the first-ever wheelchair backflip in 2006 and the first-ever wheelchair double backflip four years later. He aims to change the world's perception of people in wheelchairs and encourages everyone to approach their own challenges in a new way. Despite this challenge, Wheelz has broken records and inspired millions with his incredible spirit and determination. Aaron "Wheelz" Fotheringham is a world-renowned WCMX rider who was born with Spina Bifida, a birth defect of the spinal cord that resulted in him having no use of his legs.
